with Monsieur Zero (original Favela crew), Cliffy (Batmacumba), Ross Clarke (Favela Cheek) & Gringo (Roi du Chic).An evening of live Brazilian music, DJs and film screenings in aid of the World Film Collective’s work. It’s all about teaching sustainable filmmaking workshops to young people living in deprived areas of the globe.The evening begins with a corker of film made during one of the collective’s workshops, followed by samba, Capoeira, a Brazilian movement artist and rock fest by London-based cult group! The world film collective invites professional in the film industry to teach workshops to young people in marginalised and deprived areas of the world.’It’s all about harnessing the powers of technology in the form of mobile phones and free editing software to give a voice to some of most socially excluded young people on the planet! Plus an auction of rare and luxury items!DJs Cliffy, Ross Clarke, Monsieur Zero and Gringo da Parada will add some extra flavour to the evening. 5 p.m. – 1 a.m. Donation on the door: £3 minimum entry. Proceeds go to the World Film Collective’s work in Morro do Prazeres Favela, Rio di Janeiro, Brazil (23rd September – 3rd October).
