Victor steps up to the booth for a bit. It’s a break away from the clothes-strewn mayhem of monthly Swap!
Still, the beats roll on … Deany cuts up the old and plays it anew, samba, drum ‘n’ bass, baile funk and back again! Sounds range from the best of Brazil, through pop, hiphop, funk, rock, soul and sews up the seams with one of his many guises.
One of Favela’s Magnificent Seven pops in blue breaks, jazz swing and mambo madness amongst other things.
Famous last words: This is ‘stoopid music for stoopid people.’

Adriano Trindade and Ulisses Bezerra run the first London celebration of samba rock!
Samba-rock is a Brazilian rhythm for those with a global music ear! It appeared and carried the Brazilian underground scene from the poor to the rich, the hill to the asphalt!!!
We may swing to the balance sheets of Jorge Ben, Originals Samba, Trio Mocotó, Clube do Balanco, Tim Maia, Chico Buarque, Bebeto, Seu Jorge, among others.
Trindade has footed the other side of the world and back with his second dose of samba-rock. Ulisses Bezerra, the son of the most traditional sambista in Brazil (Bezerra da Silva), has crossed continents and been stateside and back!

After falling in love with Latin music, distinctive vocalist Heather McClell spent two years in Brazil writing her début album which was recorded in collaboration with some of Brazil’s leading musicians. A special to Favela chic London, an acoustic duo to perform a repertoire of Jazz and Bossa Nova Standards.
‘Sensual and sultry voiced, McClell has a laid back delivery perfectly complimented by the swing of Bossa Nova’. Time Out London.

Guest DJ David Holmes A master of modulation, disc-jockey-turned-recording-artist David Holmes came to represent all things “techno,” by virtue of critical reviews in the late 1990s. He embraced the inventive synthetic music form, injecting his own unique spin on the genre to create a musical style universally described as an intriguing combination of Latin techno, blues, background jazz, funk, freaky, Celtic, and electronica. Holmes has repeatedly displayed a natural bent for provoking uniquely wry and sardonic imagery.
