Friday 25th Le Weekend with Gringo da Parada

gringo.jpgA fest of Favela’s finest … baile beats courtesy of music-man extraordinaire, Il Gringo de tout ou rien! Et oui, bien sur, this one’s in full festival flow, so expect even more than the usual dose of Favela flavour old soul, rock’n’roll, electro, disco and general party shenanigans (wine / women y compris).

It’s more of what we know and love: la camaraderie via pop, samba, bossa nova, electronica, funk, breakbeats, southern rock, swing, batucada and groove inesperado …

A kaleidoscope of the purest tradition and the best of cutting edge Brazilian music reflecting the chaotic but harmonious aspects of the Favela… and chic!

The Chicken and the Egg with Gringo da Parada, Victor Lavish, Mr Boo and Tchiky

Easter treats in store, and a battle of egos galore!  Gringo’s the father of the sound, Lavish swaps names as often as underpants (regularly, thankfully) and Boo’n Tchiky hail from the French capital of all things Eiffel and cocoa.

Gringo brings on the samba, bossa nova, electronica, funk, breakbeats, batucada, hip hop, pop, southern rock, swing and rolls the rest on …

Victor Lavishes : blue breaks, jazz swing and mambo madness amongst other garment-swapping delights

Mr. Boo streams in his own stamp of soul, disco, new wave, rockcism it’s underground electrotastic to mainstream pop all the way.

Tchiky’s style? Unlikely as you like. It’ll be baile funk, hip hop, drum ‘n’ bass, samba, house, rock and all for the love of Brazil!

6pm – 3am

Free entry
