Fun and games for the non-toddling amongst us! Think party hats, musical chairs, pass the gargantuan parcel and all the childhood fun and frivolity!
It’ll be seven hours of DJs, one hour-a-piece, that’s an awful lotta music for one evening, and an awful lotta dancing under streamers, paper chains and sparkles.
Regress to near infancy and align yourself with Kit, Molly Parson and Gringo da Parada, our resident man on decks!
Gringo’ll bring home the samba, bossa nova, electronica, funk, breakbeats, batucada, hip hop, pop, southern rock, swing …
Plus a caipirinha to wash it all down with …

Monsieur Pigeon, another year older and perhaps a little wiser, so what’s he got up his sleeve? Favela familiar will strike it thrice, bringing Brazil ‘n’ France to London for another weekend we may or may not remember!
Launch yourselves into a plethora of dance-friendlies, treading the cutting edge of Brazilian beats …
Bring in a little tradition and paint with the following:
samba, bossa nova, electronica, funk, breakbeats, batucada, hip hop, pop, southern rock, swing and roll the rest on …All hail the caipirinha!

It’s the Wheel of the Best Tune, Favela’s Felliniesque parody with a ‘let’s imagine’ programme!
It’s Gringo da Parada (en monsieur déloyal), Deany Seagulls and the famous wheel, covered with the names of oh-so-many DJs that’ll fight to the death in a battle bordering on the blood and burlesque! Step in DJ Crash and Burn and Nick Frew, fuel to the fire!
Think ‘Wheel of Fortune!’ Each time the wheel stops on a name, the corresponding DJ’ll stand up and spin the next disc, for better or worse! What follows is a happily shambolic musical fratricide, where Il Gringo takes charge of fanning the embers to kick-start more chaos.

Guerillasound: a loose collective of London Jazz musicians breaking jazz frontiers where no man has gone before! They call themselves ‘omnivorous genre modernists’! Guerillasound are a nu-jazz piano trio that mix it up: jazz, rock, funk and (on occasion) the electronics kick in … It’s Nick Kacal on double bass, Grant Windsor on piano ‘n’ rhodes and Dave Ohm on drums. The tone ranges from clean and acoustic to raw electro … culminating in ‘hip, melodic, groove-orientated jazz’ fused with ‘the deconstructed semiotics of rock, funk’ and other obscurities!?It’s hard to peg, ‘alt jazz improv with attitude,’ but perhaps those in the know, do it best:‘EST-style trio mixing electronics with a penchant for rock and funk sounds’ – Time Out Favela’s dearly beloved résident parades his stamp of samba do Brasiiiuuu, amongst other things!
